Growing Region:
The majority of the grapes in our Sauvignon Blanc were harvested from the Lodi American Viticultural Area (AVA), and the floral notes found in this wine originate from the Sauvignon Musque clone of Sauvignon Blanc. The cool nighttime breezes of the river delta in the Lodi AVA lend ripe, fruit-forward flavors to the grapes, along with a long, refreshing finish. A portion of the grapes are selected from other winegrowing regions in California to help round out this blend.
Winemaking:
The grapes were harvested during the cool night hours and pressed immediately as whole clusters to capture the fresh, flavorful Sauvignon Blanc character. The grapes’ acidity is at its peak at night and contributes to the wine’s vibrancy. The juice was then cool fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks to accentuate the wine’s fruitiness.
