Welcome to Jura. A few miles off the west coast of Scotland you’ll find our island; remote, sometimes wild, yet always beautiful. Home to roughly 212 islanders, one road, one pub, one distillery. Since 1810 this unique island malt has been our greatest endeavour and our greatest reward, its creation the heart of an unbreakable bond between our island, our people and our whisky.
OUR COMMUNITY
On Jura, the Gaelic term for the community is ‘Diurach’, which also means tough. Diurachs believe anything is possible. After all, there are easier places to make whisky. It’s this same spirit that goes into distilling Jura Single Malt Scotch Whisky, giving it qualities like no other.
OUR ISLAND
Scotland may have many islands, but the Isle of Jura is like no other. Home to more than 6,000 deer and only around 212 islanders, there is only one road, one pub and one whisky distillery.
